2 months & 29 days

Originally, I thought it would be perfect to update you exactly three months from my departure date; however, as you can tell from the above title, I am a day behind schedule. Other than that, my posts have begun to get repetitive. They consist of 1) my excitement for leaving, 2) a few worries here and there, and finally 3) random excerpts from life in Arlington.  So, let's do this!

ONE. I'm so freaking excited that I'm going to South America.  I was running one morning and thinking about the actuality of my nueva vida en Santiago.  I had the dumbest grin on my face for the next three miles (well, I was smiling until the shady looking cars pulled in the parking lot of the park).  Thank you God, because my joy is currently acting as a lid to suppress my fear of failing.

TWO.  I have one thing on my mind at this moment. What on earth am I going to do with my cat??  Seriously, if I cannot find a home for her, what next? A shelter? The pound?  If anyone knows anyone who knows anyone willing to take care of an adorable, sweet, loving kitty-cat, please, please, please let me know!

THREE.  Alright, what's been happening on this side of the tracks, you ask?  Well, last night I opened my Etsy shop!  At least, I'm excited about that one - not everyone I've mentioned it to seem completely on board.  Maybe they are worried I'm going to try to sell them something.  Don't worry.  I hate promoting products.  For example, I would tell people that LA Fitness was cheaper than the current gym that employed me.   But I couldn't lie and say we offered a better deal!  But I will say, you should look at my shop and give me feed back.  If I don't sell anything, then you guys know what you're getting for Christmas.  Win-win situation (unless you are a male on my shopping list). Yesterday, I felt like an idiot in my backyard trying to snap some photos of myself wearing the scarves and such that I had made.  Here are some rejected images:

As you can tell from the bottom left, I was sick and tired of this self-inflicted photo shoot.  Anyways, check it out: Cute, Katie, Cute.  Please, try not to laugh too hard at my ridiculous photography skills and corny catalog descriptions (maybe I should contact Elaine from Seinfeld to give me some pointers)!  Although I will say, I hope it cheers up your day.

As for the rest my days, I'm enjoying this autumn (except for my failed pumpkin carving attempt) with friends, family, Little B and Little C, the Texas Rangers, crocheting, baking, and reading.

Are y'all having a great fall, too?  Thanks so much for reading! And feel free to comment!
